Family Chore Tracker

Privacy Policy

Clear, practical information about how the app handles family data, analytics, ads, and purchases.

Effective date: August 12, 2026 Last updated: August 12, 2026

Summary

Family Chore Tracker helps parents and guardians create household profiles, plan chores, track completed routines, and manage points and rewards.

Names, chores, reward details, points, and completion history stay locally on your device. The app does not require an account, and we do not send household content to our servers or to Firebase.

Information stored on your device

To provide its core features, the app stores profile names or nicknames, avatars, chores, schedules, points, reward goals, completion history, and app settings locally on your device.

You can edit or delete this information inside the app. Deleting the app removes its locally stored information from that device, subject to your device backups.

Privacy-safe usage analytics

Google Firebase Analytics is optional and off by default. An adult can choose to enable Anonymous Analytics in the app's Family settings and can turn it off again at any time. When enabled, the app may record general events such as completing onboarding, creating or completing a chore, viewing the subscription screen, and the outcome of a purchase or restore attempt.

Analytics events never contain household profile names, chore text, reward text, free-form notes, email addresses, or other content entered by your family. We do not set a Firebase user ID, and the analytics component is integrated without advertising-identifier access.

When analytics is enabled, Google Analytics automatically assigns an app-instance identifier and may process general device and app information, approximate region derived from a masked IP address, app interactions, purchase or subscription information, and diagnostic information. This information is used only for aggregate analytics and app improvement, not for advertising, cross-app tracking, identity linkage, or creating a household profile.

Advertising in the free version

The free version may use Google AdMob to show sponsored content. Google may process device identifiers, approximate location derived from IP address, ad interaction data, and technical diagnostics to serve and measure ads.

Ad requests are configured for non-personalized, child-directed treatment where applicable. Premium users do not see third-party ads in the app. Learn more in How Google uses information from apps and sites.

In-app purchases

Optional Premium products are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store payment-card details. Apple handles payment information under Apple's Privacy Policy.

RevenueCat helps the app verify purchase status and restore access. It may process an anonymous app-user identifier and purchase information needed to provide the subscription or purchase entitlement.

Children's privacy

The app is designed for parents and guardians. It does not ask children to create accounts or submit information to us. Household profile information is entered by the family and remains on the device. We do not knowingly use children's personal information for behavioral advertising.

Your choices

You can access, correct, or delete the app's locally stored information inside the app. Anonymous Analytics remains off unless an adult voluntarily enables it in Family settings, and it can be disabled there at any time. Where required, the app presents consent choices for advertising. Purchases and subscriptions can be managed through your App Store account settings.

Data retention and security

Household content remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Service providers retain analytics, advertising, and purchase-verification data according to their own policies and contractual requirements. Data sent to service providers is protected in transit using standard encryption.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or its services change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above and, where appropriate, through the app or App Store listing.
